Sana Malik (born 1988) is an Indian politician from Maharashtra. She is also an architect turned lawyer.[1] She is serving as the member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Anushaktinagar Assembly constituency since 23 November 2024 representing the Nationalist Congress Party. She is daughter of Nawab Malik, a former minister in the cabinet of Maharashtra.[2][3]

Early life and education

Malik was born to Nawab Malik. She completed her L.L.B. in 2024 at Rizvi Law College, Bandra, Mumbai which is affiliated with Mumbai University.[4]

Career

Malik made her debut in politics in 2017, when she unsuccessfully contested the 2017 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation election.[1] She won the 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election from Anushaktinagar Assembly constituency representing Nationalist Congress Party, a coalition partner of National Democratic Alliance. She polled 49,341 votes and defeated her nearest rival, Fahad Ahmad, of the Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar and a former student activist and husband of Swara Bhaskar.[5][6] She won by a margin of 3,378 votes.[7][8]
