Radio Damascus is the international radio station of Syrian state broadcaster ORTAS. Programs in English, French, German, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish and Turkish were broadcast via webstream. Historically, Radio Damascus were transmitting for an international audience since 1957, mainly on medium wave and shortwave frequencies.
The international programmes of Radio Damascus were focused on praising the policy of the Syrian government of the al-Assad family until 2024.[1][2]
Radio Damascus was transmitted via the Russian satellite Ekspress-AM22. The station's operational status is unclear.
