Priyansh Arya

Priyansh Arya (born January 18, 2001, in Delhi) is an Indian cricketer. He is a left-handed opener known for his explosive batting style.[1]

Early life

Arya's parents are schoolteachers in Delhi. He trains under coach Sanjay Bhardwaj, who also coached Gautam Gambhir.[2]

Domestic Career

Arya kicked off the Delhi Premier League with a bang, scoring 57 runs in 30 balls against Old Delhi 6. He followed this up with an impressive 82 runs in 51 balls against Central Delhi Kings, smashing seven sixes.[3]

Arya's incredible form continued, with scores of 53 in 32 balls against East Delhi Strikers, 107 in 55 balls against Old Delhi 6, and 88 in 42 balls against Central Delhi. The highlight of his performance came when his team, South, scored 308/5 in 20 overs against North Delhi Strikers. Arya contributed an astonishing 120 runs in 50 balls, including six sixes in a single over off left-arm spinner Manan Bharadwaj.[4]

His outstanding performance earned him a spot in the Delhi squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Although he faced stiffer competition, Arya still managed to score a blistering 102 runs in 43 balls, with five fours and ten sixes, against Uttar Pradesh. This century came on November 23, just a day before the IPL 2025 auction.[5]
