Preetha Ram (born 30 May 1961) is the co-founder and CEO of Open Study (now Brainly[2]), a peer-to-peer online mentoring community for high school and college learners.[3] She served as an associate dean at Emory University and is the founder and director of multiple organizations at Emory, including the Emory Tibet Science Initiative and the Emory PreHealth Mentoring Office.[1]

Ram advocates for international experiences as a crucial component of college education, especially for science students.[4] She oversaw Emory's first science-focused summer study abroad program, Chemistry Studies in Italy, and successfully replicated this model with Neuroscience in France, Environmental Science and Biology in Australia, and Global Health in South Africa. Her study abroad program was recognized with the Practices in International Education Award in 2007.[5]

Preetha Ram is a member of Project Kaleidoscope.[6]
