Duterte item

[edit]

@2600:8800:ff04:c00:c052:8350:c710:b155:, let's talk this through. The Duterte item is of absolutely no significance whatsoever - it's a statement. Not every world leader's statement, or whatever they've done, qualifies as notable - and in the case of this particular world leader, so much has been said and done, but we do not cover everything, and it will almost certainly have no lasting effect.

Your statement here - that there are a number of "Google results" and therefore it automatically becomes notable - shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how Wikipedia works, not to mention the fact that you threw this in an edit summary, purely to make a point. Edit summaries - the place you've always preferred - are no place for discussion. This is. Morningstar1814 (talk) 22:10, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just to add - you have more than once exhibit WP:BATTLEGROUND tendencies, blindly reverting edits and holding editors in contempt. Here and here you take it upon yourself to revert a "permanently banned editor", despite the fact that they are clearly not, and what they did certainly deserved less than a clear revert, not to mention your statement. You've accused me, more than once, of committing "bias through omission", as in here and here - despite that fact that they are omitted because they're clearly not given in the sources - and even if you have interpreted them correctly, they're still not there. here you call someone "delusional", and while the editor might not have put the item under the right section, you clearly did not either. Here you accusse someone of being a sock, showing zero proof to back that up. This type of antagonizing attitude has no place here on Wikipedia.
