Removed Duke Blue Devils winning national championship from today

I have removed Duke Blue Devils winning national championship from today several times. It happened on Monday Eastern Daylight Time in the United States. What day it was elsewhere in the world is irrelevant just as it is for every other story today and every day. Capitalistroadster (talk) 00:16, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Capitalistroadster: You are mistaken. Wikipedia uses one and only one clock - UTC time. This is the time stamp shown in your signature and the time the main page changes based on, for example, and is how we have always done things. If we used a different clock for each item on this list, that would be quite confusing when items didn't have a "local time" because they are of general interest - some users would expect to find the item on one day and others on another.

Here, the game started at about 1am UTC on April 7 and concluded at about 3:30am. Local time is not relevant. --ThaddeusB (talk) 00:27, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Our article on the game shows it has haven't been played on 6 April ie local time see 2015 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship Game as do all of the reliable sources. Showing it has having been played on the 7th would just confuse people. I always try to have it as the time the event occurred locally not UTC. It was not played in London but it in the US. If you want to create a more general discussion, that would be great. However, I seriously doubt anyone but us two cares... I have been an ITN/CE contributor for many years and we have always done things based on UTC time as far as I can remember. --ThaddeusB (talk) 04:40, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
