Two Catrina figurines each approximately 38 cm (15 in) tall the imagery was popularized by La Calavera de la Catrina a 1913 zinc etching by Mexican printmaker José Guadalupe Posada. The image has become a staple of Mexican imagery, and is often incorporated into artistic manifestations of the Day of the Dead in November.
