Ahaziah becomes king of Judah. He joins Jehoram, king of Israel, in an unsuccessful expedition against Hazael, king of the Arameans. Jehoram is wounded in the battle, and when Ahaziah visits him, he is caught up in the revolt of Jehu and is killed.
