Ahmad Dekatama (born 1994), known profesionally as Pasming Based, is an Indonesian internet celebrity and lawyer.

Early life
[edit]Based was born Ahmad Dekatama in 1994 as the eldest child and only son of the three children.[1] He is the brother of actress Amel Carla.[1][2] Based completed his high school education at SMA Negeri 28 Jakarta, majoring in social science, from 2010 until 2013.[2] He then went to Faculty of Law at University of Indonesia majoring in law, in 2013 and graduated in 2017, and earned his master degree from Columbia Law School in 2022.[2] During his time at University of Indonesia, Based represented Indonesia at Youth Assembly by United Nations in New York, in 2016, and as a representation of Asian Law Students Association at WIPO Conference in Geneva, in the same year.[3] He also became a winner at Economic Basketball League in 2015 and 2016.[3]
Personal life
[edit]Based is married to Nadia Cantika at Bidakara Hotel in Tebet, South Jakarta, on 3 September 2022.[1][4]
Legal career
[edit]Based started his career by joined Business Law Society at Faculty of Law at University of Indonesia, in 2014 as a staff of intellectual property and technology division for a year.[2] He also served as a staff of internal public relation at Asian Law Students Association.[2] In 2015, Based joined Recht Basketball Club FHUI and served as vice head and captain which made him lead the team and earned a gold medal at University of Indonesia olympic after a long period.[2] He also joined Ikatan Abang None in Central Jakarta and competed as Abang None which earned him first runner up for Jakarta in 2017.[2]
In June 2016, Based worked at Ministry of Foreign Affairs until September in the same year.[2] He also became an intern at Rouse company from October 2017 until January 2018.[2] Based then joined HHP Law Firm as a legal assistant for one year and eight months, and worked as an assistant legal manager at FinAccel in September 2019.[2] After two years working at the company, he joined FinTech Association Indonesia and serving as in-house legal counsel from June 2022.[2]
Pasming Based
[edit]Pasming Based is an abbreviation of Pasar Minggu Based.[2] This shows that he comes from the Pasar Minggu area.[2] In the bio of his TikTok account, Based also includes the words "Just a kid from Pasar Minggu📍" which confirms that the creator comes from Pasar Minggu in South Jakarta.[2] His account has up to 320 thousand followers.[2] Meanwhile, from the various videos he has uploaded, he has achieved a total of 61.4 million likes, and one of his videos has been watched up to 14 million times.[2] Based is known for its content which often combines humor with koplo music.[5]
On 20 September 2024, Based collaborated with Andien to performed at Pestapora 2024 at JIEXPO Kemayoran in North Jakarta.[5] He sang the song Saat Bahagia by Ungu and Andien, and Dj Kamu Yang Kasih Tinggal followed by a typical TikTok dance and managed to grab the attention of the audience.[5]
