Oniel Wilson (born 27 April 1971) is an Indian former cricketer. He played two first-class matches for Delhi between 1990 and 1997.[1] In 2020, Mr Oniel Wilson was accused of Sexually harassing a female student cricketer under his mentorship. Allegations against him included multiple instances of molestation, attempted rape, and issuing threats to jeopardise her cricket career if she disclosed his misconduct. These incidents reportedly occurred on several occasions, including within the dressing room of training facility.

The complainant stated that Mr. Wilson had made repeated unwelcome advances and, when resisted, he threatened to ruin her professional future. She also said that Mr. Wilson had inappropriate relationships with 2 underaged girls. Furthermore, it is alleged that his wife, Mrs. Reetu Wilson, complicit in his illegal acts. This matter was reported to the Nizamuddin Police station, where an FIR was registered under relevant sections of INDIAN PENAL CODE (IPC), including those pertaining to sexual harassment, molestation, and criminal intimidation, along with provisions under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

During the investigation, the police visited oniel wilson residence and questioned him regarding the allegations. It’s reported that Mr. Wilson was unable to provide satisfactory explanations for his actions, leading to his subsequent arrest.

Based on the evidence and the survivor’s testimony, a case was registered against Mr. Oniel Wilson in Saket court For:

  1. Molestation and outraging the modesty of a woman under sections 354 and 354A of the IPC.
  2. Criminal intimidation under Section 376/511 of the IPC
  3. Provisions under the POCSO Act, 2012, given the involvement of minor victims.

The case remains under adjudication in the Saket district Court, with ongoing proceedings.
