OPONEO.PL Group
OPONEO.PL Group is a Polish structure that brings together companies in the e-commerce segment and sells in Europe. It was founded in 2007[1]. Its parent company is Oponeo.pl S.A., which has been operating in Poland since 2001. The Group is also present in twelve European countries: United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Slovakia, Italy and Hungary[2].
Activities of the OPONEO.PL Group
[edit]The core business of the OPONEO.PL Group is the retail sale of vehicle parts and accessories, in particular tyres[3]. The Group is a pioneer in integrating tyre delivery and servicing, enabling customers to access this service at 6,072 locations[4], including 620 in the United Kingdom[5], by the end of 2023.
The parent company in the Polish market is considered a leader in the industry[6]. It achieves distinctions in national rankings, confirming its strong position in the market. It serves as an example of a dynamically growing entity, expanding into foreign markets. The OPONEO.PL Group also includes companies engaged in online distribution of bicycles and bicycle parts as well as tools and power tools under the CentrumRowerowe.pl and Narzedzia.pl brands.
Operating segments of the OPONEO.PL Group
[edit]The OPONEO.PL Group divides its activities into the following operating segments:
- Sale of car accessories
This is the largest segment in the Group’s structure. It includes tyres, rims and other car accessories. In 2023, revenues from this segment accounted for 83.95% of total revenues.
- Sale of bicycle accessories
This segment includes bicycles and bicycle accessories. In 2023, it generated revenues accounting for 10.07% of the Group’s total revenues.
- Sale of tools
This segment includes tools and power tools. In 2023, it generated revenues accounting for 5.98% of the Group’s total revenues.

· Opony.pl Sp. z o.o. based in Bydgoszcz, Poland
[edit]OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over Opony.pl Sp. z o.o. (online retail sales of tyres on the Polish market) since 25 February 2010. It holds 100% of the subsidiary’s share capital.
OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over OPONEO.CO.UK LTD[7] (online retail sales of tyres on the English and Irish markets) since 30 July 2012. It holds 100% of the subsidiary’s share capital.
OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over Oponeo.de GmbH (online retail sales of tyres on the German and Austrian markets) since 6 September 2012. It holds 100% of the subsidiary’s share capital.
OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over OPONEO Lastik Satış ve Pazarlama Dış Ticaret Limited Şirketi since 2 October 2012 (currently in liquidation). It holds 100% of the subsidiary’s share capital.
· Hurtopon.pl Sp. z o.o. based in Bydgoszcz, Poland
[edit]OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over Hurtopon.pl Sp. z o.o. (online wholesale sales of tyres on the Polish market) since 20 December 2013. It holds 100% of the subsidiary’s share capital.
· Dadelo S.A. based in Bydgoszcz, Poland
[edit]OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over Dadelo S.A. (online and brick-and-mortar retail sales of bicycles and cycling accessories on the Polish market) since 24 July 2017. Since 11 February 2021, it has held 58.83% of Dadelo S.A.’s share capital.
· Oponeo International Sp. z o.o. based in Bydgoszcz, Poland

OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over Oponeo International Sp. z o.o. (online retail sales of tyres on the French, Italian and Belgian markets) since 1 June 2020. It holds 100% of the subsidiary’s share capital.
· ROTOPINO.PL S.A. based in Bydgoszcz, Poland
[edit]OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over ROTOPINO.PL S.A. (online sales of tools and power tools in 9 European countries) since 29 December 2020. It holds 100% of ROTOPINO.PL S.A’s share capital.
· Oponeo Global Sp. z o.o. based in Bydgoszcz, Poland
[edit]OPONEO.PL S.A. has exercised control over Oponeo Global Sp. z o.o. (online retail sales of tyres on the Dutch market) since 16 November 2023. It holds 100% of the subsidiary’s share capital.
Companies of the OPONEO.PL Group on the Warsaw Stock Exchange
[edit]Oponeo.pl S.A. is the first company of the OPONEO.PL Group to be listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It debuted in 2007[8], becoming one of the first listed online retailers in the country. The company’s activities on the stock exchange made it possible to raise the capital necessary for further growth and investment in new technologies, services, and expansion into foreign markets[9].
Dadelo S.A., another Group company, made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2020. Its presence on the trading floor has enabled Dadelo S.A. to raise the capital necessary to finance further growth. The brand is strengthening its leadership position in the distribution of bicycle products through online channels and developing the network of brick-and-mortar shops under the CentrumRowerowe.pl brand, implementing an omnichannel strategy[10].

Activities of Oponeo.co.uk LTD
[edit]OPONEO.PL Group engages in various activities aimed at brand development, customer support and automotive education. Oponeo.co.uk’s e-commerce platform has been recognised in the UK’s Best Online Tyre Retailers[12] compiled by Auto Express.
The Group’s online activities are complemented by a blog dedicated to automotive news[13]. The blog features a ranking of the UK’s Most Driver-Friendly Cities[14], which aims to evaluate and compare cities based on their driver-friendliness.
In 2017, Oponeo.co.uk was recognised at the prestigious UK Search Awards, receiving an award in the Best SEO Campaign category[15].
