Introduction

The lens was introduced on September 14, 2021.^[2]

Special Edition (SE)

On November 8, 2022, Nikon also announced an otherwise optically identical Special Edition (SE) version of the lens, which adopts a retro design to be matched with the Nikon Zfc.^[3] The SE lens was released on December 14, 2022.^[4]
