Nahal Almon (Almon Stream in Hebrew: נחל עלמון) is one of the tributaries of Nahal Dishon in the Upper Galilee. It is approximately 1.85 kilometers long.

Geography

[edit]

The source of the stream is located at an elevation of about 675 meters above sea level, near the tomb of Rabbi Elazar ben Azariah, approximately half a kilometer from the village of Rehaniya and about 700 meters from moshav Alma.[1] The stream flows in a north-northwest direction. It passes near the Dishon Stream Nature Reserve. About two kilometers east of Kibbutz Yir'on, at an elevation of about 440 meters above sea level, the stream empties into the Dishon Stream, which eventually flows into the Jordan River.[2]
