River
[edit]Sita River, a lifeline for Mudkhed taluka, flows through villages such as Mudkhed, Barad, Nivgha, Shemboli, Pandharwadi, Dongargaon, Pardi, Vaijapur, and Borgav. This region is known for its fertile land and flourishing agriculture. Thanks to water from the Isapur Dam, farmers in the area cultivate crops like bananas, sugarcane, wheat, and vegetables, enjoying a prosperous and contented life. There is a growing unified demand to release water from the Isapur Dam into the Sita River. This is vital as the river has dried up, leading to a significant drop in groundwater levels, with many wells reaching their lowest point. Reviving the river would ensure sustainable water resources and continued agricultural prosperity in the region.[5]
