Michael Hershman

Michael J. Hershman (born circa 1945) is a business executive[1][2] and consultant on topics such as transparency, litigation, and governance.[1][3]

Career

His career began, during the 1960s, in military intelligence and government service, including as an investigator for the Senate Watergate Committee during the Watergate scandal,[4] and was also a chief investigator for a joint Presidential and Congressional commission relating to laws on wiretapping.[3] He founded Fairfax Group, a private investigation and corporate compliance firm,[2] and also co-founded Transparency International.[5] In 2012, Hershman served on a reforms panel for FIFA,[5] specifically the organization's Independent Governance Committee.[3] He became CEO of the International Centre for Sport  Security (ICSS)[1] in 2016.[6] As of 2023, he was CEO of the real estate development company Soloviev Group.[2] Noted investigations include the Bofors scandal,[7] following Hershman's revelation that the company Bofors had bribed Indian politicians, and also had attempted to bribe him.[8]
