Metin Kaya (born 19 July 1961) is a Turkish-born German politician who has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament since 2020 .

Life

Kaya works as a social worker in Hamburg. He was a member of the state executive committee of Die Linke Hamburg [de].

In the 2020 Hamburg state election, he was elected to the Hamburg Parliament via the state list on 23 February 2020.

On 2 November 2023, Kaya left the Left Party and its parliamentary group. He joined the new party of Sahra Wagenknecht - Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht.[1][2]
