Bangladesh Ambassador Md. Jashim Uddin

Md. Jashim Uddin is a Bangladeshi diplomat and the current Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh. Before that he was ambassador of Bangladesh to China.[1] He was previously the ambassador of Bangladesh to the State of Qatar.[2] He also served as Ambassador to Greece with concurrent accreditation to Malta and Albania.[3]

Career

Jashim Uddin joined the Foreign Service cadre of the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1994 with 13th batch. He served as Director General (South Asia) and Director General (East Asia and Pacific) at Foreign ministry.[4] He also served different Bangladesh Missions such as New Delhi, Tokyo, Washington DC and Islamabad in different capacities.[5]

On September 2024, he was appointed as Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh.[6]
