Matt Pitman is an American public address announcer, currently serving as the official voice of the NBA's Golden State Warriors. His energetic and engaging style has made him a fan favorite and an integral part of the Warriors' game experience.

Early life and career

Born and raised in the Seattle area, Pitman's passion for sports was evident from a young age. He honed his communication skills at Interlake High School, where he participated in various school activities and developed an interest in broadcasting.

Pitman's professional career began at KIRO (AM) in Seattle, where he became a familiar voice covering all major Seattle sports teams. His versatility saw him anchoring radio shows, reporting on games, and contributing to pre- and post-game broadcasts for the Seattle Mariners Of The MLB.

Seattle SuperSonics and Seattle Storm

In 2004, Pitman stepped into the KeyArena as the public address announcer for the Seattle SuperSonics, replacing the legendary (James) Jim Graci. He quickly earned the respect of players and fans alike with his enthusiastic introductions and in-game pronouncements.

Two years later, Pitman expanded his Seattle-based sports portfolio by becoming the arena voice for the Seattle Storm, the city's WNBA team. He continued to thrive in both roles until the Sonics' relocation in 2008.

Golden State Warriors

After a decade in Seattle, Pitman joined the Golden State Warriors in 2019, taking over the public address announcer role at their new home, the Chase Center in San Francisco. He seamlessly transitioned to the Bay Area, bringing his signature energy and passion to Warriors games.

Pitman's commitment to creating a unique and immersive fan experience is evident in his work. He has developed iconic catchphrases like "Here we go, Dub Nation, get up and get loud!" and enjoys engaging with fans through social media and community events.

In 2022, Pitman was featured in a YouTube video For NBA2K22 highlighting his role as the Warriors' PA announcer in partnership with all the other 29 announcing the bringing of PA announcers to the game.
