Mason Jay Rees (born 6 November 2005) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League North club Rushall Olympic .
Career
[edit]Born in Solihull, Rees came through the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy, joining as a 9-year-old.[3] He signed his first professional contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers on 29 August 2023.[3]
Prior to signing his deal, Rees featured for Wolverhampton Wanderers U21 in the EFL Trophy Group stage game against Wigan Athletic in August 2021, coming on as an 88th-minute substitute for Harvey Griffiths.[4]
On 8 November 2023, after not featuring in the EFL Trophy for over three-years, Rees played the full 90 minutes against Derby County in the 2023–24 season, which resulted in a 4–1 defeat.[5] In May 2024, Rees was deemed surplus to requirements at Wolves and told to find a new club over the course of the summer transfer window.[6]
On 3 September 2024, Rees dropped into non-league as he signed for National League North club Rushall Olympic on a free transfer, after being released by Wolves earlier the same day.[7]
