Marco Antonio González Valdez (born 24 October 1972) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Citizens' Movement (Mexico). He currently serves as Secretary of Regional and Agricultural Development and Honorary General Director of the Laredo–Colombia Solidarity International Bridge, appointed by de Governor of Nuevo Leon: Samuel García Sepúlveda

Dr. Marco González is an entrepreneur in the restaurant industry. Married and father of 6 children. Highly studied, graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in International Trade at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education with Honors. He obtained a certificate in Specialized Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard University and has two master Degrees; Master in Social Policy and Planning of Developing Countries and Master in Public Administration and Public Policy, both from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Completed a Doctorate in Regional Development from Oxford University.

Dr. González has impressive international experience serving as a consultant for the World Bank Regional Office in Washington D.C. and consultant for the Regional Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago, Chile.

He has outstanding experience in different federal and state positions. Including having previously been Agriculture Development Secretary for the Government of the State of Nuevo Leon.

Dr. González has extensive legislative experience being a Federal Representative in the 9th District and President for The Center for Legislative Studies for Rural Development and Agriculture Sovereignty. Also served as the House Speaker for the State of Nuevo Leon Congress. Coordinator for Institutional Revolutionary Party Legislative Group and Local Deputy for the 23rd District of theState of N.L. and Local Representative for the 26th District of the State of N.L.
