MalakAbad (also spelled: MalkAbad or MalikAbad; Urdu: ملک آباد ) is an administrative unit in Tehsil Shalfalm of Lower Dir District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

The caste of this village/area is Sultankhail(RahimKhail), Their major tribe is Yousafzai.

The owner and head of this village was Malak Firdos Khan Yousafzai (also Known as Pardaisi Malak) and now his grandsons and great grandsons run the area. They are known as Malaks of Malakabad.

They have great past history of their forefathers, who were famous for their bravery and leadership.

The most leading names in them are Malak Akbar Khan and Malak Gulam Haider Khan.

Malak Akbar khan got sacrifice in the war of Kashmir while Malak Ghulam Haider khan got sacrifice in the war Bajaur and Jandul Dir.
