Makise Flavius Evans (born 20 August 2006) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for National League South side Tonbridge Angels on loan from EFL League One club Stevenage.
Career
[edit]Stevenage
[edit]Evans signed a scholarship agreement with the Stevenage academy ahead of the 2022–23 season, having previously played at under-16 level for Enfield Borough.[3][1] He joined Isthmian League Premier Division club Potters Bar Town on loan in March 2023.[4] Evans scored his first goal in senior football in a 2–1 defeat to Lewes on 25 March 2023.[4] In doing so, he became Potters Bar's youngest goalscorer at the age of 16 years and 217 days old.[5] He made nine appearances in all competitions during the loan agreement,[4] before returning to Stevenage in April 2023.[6] Evans made his first-team debut in Stevenage's 1–0 defeat to Mansfield Town on 22 April 2023.[7] His 87th-minute substitute appearance in the match meant he became Stevenage's youngest ever player.[8]
In March 2024, Evans joined Isthmian League Premier Division leaders Hornchurch on loan until the end of the season.[9]
On 5 October 2024, Evans joined National League South club St Albans City on an initial one-month loan deal.[10] In November 2024, he joined Tonbridge Angels on a work-experience loan deal.[11]
Style of play
[edit]Stevenage academy manager Jorden Gibson described Evans as a "strong, powerful and raw talent".[3]
