Magazyn Wileński (Polish: Vilnius Journal) is a monthly political and cultural magazine based in Lithuania.[1] As of 2005 it was one of four Polish-language print publications in the country.[2]
History and profile
[edit]Magazyn Wileński was established in 1990,[3] and the first issue appeared on 6 January that year.[4] The founders were Michał Mackiewicz and Jan Sienkiewicz.[5]
Its headquarters is in Vilnius.[3][6] The magazine is published by the Union of Poles[7] on a monthly basis.[8] In the first six years Magazyn Wileński was a biweekly publication.[5] In 1996 its publication frequency was made monthly.[5]
