Luodong River

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Luodong River(Traditional Chinese:羅東溪 ) is the largest tributary on the south bank of Lanyang River.[1] Its upstream section is also called Han River,[2] and the midstream section is known as Guangxing River.[3] It originates from the northeastern slope of Dayuan Mountain[4] and flows through Datong Township,[5] Dongshan Township,[6] Sanxing Township,[7] and Luodong Township[8] in Yilan County,[9] serving as the boundary river between Sanxing Township and Dongshan Township.[10]

Luodong River has tributaries including Fansheken River[11] (also known as Gulu River,[12] originating from Fansheken Mountain[13]), Dagou River[14] (originating from Wumao Mountain[15]), Annong River,[16] and Dakeng River[17] (originating from Dahutong Mountain[18]). Fansheken River and Dagou River converge near Sifanglin,[19] while Annong River and Dakeng River converge near Alishi.[20] These tributaries join the main stream of Luodong River near Lupucheng,[21] and the main stream flows into Lanyang River before the Lanyang Bridge.[22]
