Luigi Soreca is an Italian diplomat serving as the EU Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina since September 2024.[1][2]

Biography

A lawyer by training, Soreca started his career in the banking sector in Italy and then he worked for the Ministry of the Interior in Italy for six years before joining the Commission in 1998.[3][4] Between 2018 and 2022, he served as the EU Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Albania.[5][6]

Soreca is married. He holds a degree in law from the L.U.I.S.S. University in Rome.[7]
