This is a list of life peerages in the Peerage of the United Kingdom created under the Life Peerages Act 1958 since 2024, during the tenure of Labour prime minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Both Conservative and Labour government's have created large numbers of peers since the House of Lords Act 1999 in a process called leap-frogging where in each party, upon a change of power, creates more peers of its own so as to achieve parity in the Upper House. [1] Prior to the 1999 Act an average of 15 Life Peers were created each year.
