Note
  1. ^ Certain award groups do not simply award one winner. They acknowledge several different recipients, have runners-up, and have third place. Since this is a specific recognition and is different from losing an award, runner-up mentions are considered wins in this award tally. For simplification and to avoid errors, each award in this list has been presumed to have had a prior nomination.

The following is the list of awards and nominations received by actress and filmmaker Jodie Foster. One of the most awarded thespians of her generation, Foster in her five decades long career has received numerous accolades; both competitive and honorary. Her major competitive wins include two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, three British Academy Film Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, an Independent Spirit Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She has also been nominated twice for the Directors Guild of America Awards and one Daytime Emmy Award.
