In the Idylls of Theocritus, he refers to a group of nymphs under the name "Limnades" (/ˈlɪmnædz, -nədz/; Ancient Greek: Λιμνάδες).[1] In Neil Hopkinson's translation, they are referred to as "Nymphs of the lake".[2]
