Li Qi (born in October 1954, Chinese: 李琦), a native of Qufu, Shandong, is a politician of the People's Republic of China.

Biography

Li Qi became a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in August 1972. He graduated in 1981 from the Economics Department of Nanjing University, specializing in Economics and Management. In June 1993, he was appointed as deputy dean of the School of International Business at Nanjing University. In January 1996, Li held the position of deputy manager at Nanjing Textile Industry Company. In May 1997, he was appointed as deputy director of the Nanjing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission. In May 2001, he held the position of president of the Nanjing Council for the Promotion of Trade. In December 2001, he was appointed as the director of the Nanjing Development Planning Committee, and the director of the Nanjing Development Planning Commission.[1] In February 2005, he became the director of the Nanjing Development and Reform Commission.[2] In June 2006, he served as Vice Mayor of Nanjing and Secretary of the Luhe District Committee. In June 2008, he served as Vice Mayor of Nanjing and Secretary of the Jiangning District Committee of the CCP. In January 2013 - January 2017, he was the deputy director of the Nanjing People's Congress Standing Committee.[3]
