Lasse Bredekjær Andersson (born 11 March 1994) is a Danish handball player for Füchse Berlin and the Danish national team.[1][2][3]

Lasse Andersson has the world record for fastest measured shot at 140 km/hour.[4]

Career

Anderson started playing handball at the age of 4 at the Copenhagen club Frederiksberg IF. In December 2012 he joined TMS Ringsted, where he signed his first profesional contract.[5] In the same season he won the 'Årets talent' award in KIF Kolding.

In 2013 he joined KIF Kolding København, where he won the Danish Championship in 2014 and 2015, as well as the Danish cup in 2013.

Andersson's agent confirmed that his client would be leaving KIF Kolding København by the end of the 2015–16 season and moved to FC Barcelona Lassa.[6]

In March 2018 he ruptured his cruciate ligament and was out for 13 months.[7] He played in Barcelona for four years, where he won the Spanish double every single season.

In 2020 in joined German club Füchse Berlin auf.[8] In September 2024 he extended his contract until 2027.[9] He won the EHF European League in 2023 with the club.

National team

He played at 2012 U18 European championship and the 2013 Men's Junior World Handball Championship.

In 2021 he won the World Championship with the Danish team. In 2024 he won gold medals at the 2024 Olympics.[10]

Private life

His brother, Nicolaj Bredekjær Andersson, is a handball coach.[11]

He is a fan of the football club FC København.[4]
