Laila Smith (born April 19, 2006[1]), known professionally as Laila!, is an American singer.
Early life
[edit]Smith is from Brooklyn, New York.[2] Her father is Yasiin Bey (Mos Def)[3][4]
Career
[edit]She wrote her debut single "Like That!", in 2023 when she was 16.[4] In 2024, she announced her first album, Gap Year!.[5] Half of this album was made at home in her bedroom.[6] She self-produced her album.[7]
