Covering an area of 430 hectares (1,100 acres), The project was announced on July 24, 2024, by Royal Commission for Riyadh City and Green Riyadh Authority, the announcement comes after in the previous months they announced construction on Al Municiyah Park, Al Rimal Park, Al Kadisiyah/Qadisiyah Park and Al Urubah Park. The park also reportedly began construction in the same day as the Royal Commission for Riyadh City also announced the beginning of construction, although satellite images see that construction began earlier.
