King is an upcoming Hindi-language action-thriller film directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment.[1] The film Shah Rukh Khan in titular role, alongside Suhana Khan (in her theatrical debut) and Abhishek Bachchan.[2][3] The soundtrack and musical score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The film is set to release on 20 March 2026, coinciding with the Eid al-Fitr.[4]

Premise

Shah Rukh Khan takes on the role of a powerful and enigmatic don, fully embedded in the depths of the criminal underworld. His character transcends the typical crime lord archetype, becoming a mentor to Suhana Khan’s character. Through their bond, he teaches her essential survival skills, guiding and protecting her in their dangerous world. Their relationship faces intense trials as they confront a shared enemy, portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan, who brings a new level of tension and complexity to the story, testing their loyalty and resilience against a backdrop of intrigue and conflict.[5]
