Kill the Lights is a British and American metalcore supergroup founded in 2019 by former singer of Throw the Fight James Clark and former drummer of Bullet for my Valentine Michael "Moose" Thomas.[1] In 2021, they were joined by bassist Jason "Jay" James, also formerly of Bullet For My Valentine.[citation needed] Their debut album 'The Sinner' was released in 2020 and generally received positive feedback.[2][3][4] Their second album 'Death Melodies' was released in March 2024. Their music is considered metalcore with elements of classic metal.[5] One of their lyrical themes are the struggles of singer James with mental health, anxiety and depression.[6] The band is currently signed to the American record label Fearless Records.
