Kathryn Murdoch

Kathryn Hufschmid Murdoch is an American philanthropist. Her donations center on democracy reform and among them is a one-million-dollar contribution to The 19th, a news organization founded to increase awareness of issues related to fulfilling the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.[1]

She and her husband formed the Quadrivium as a foundation conducting research into the best financial investments toward overcoming what is perceived as governmental gridlock in Washington, D.C.[2]

She also aims to increase voter participation and combat climate change, among other initiatives.[3]

Personal

She is married to James Murdoch, the younger son of the media mogul, Rupert Murdoch.[4] They have three children, Anneka (born 2003), Walter (born 2004), and Emerson (born 2008).
