Joseph Nsengimana

Joseph Nsengimana has been nominated as the Rwanda minister of education in September 2024, replacing Gaspard Twagirayezu, who has been appointed to lead the Rwanda space agency.[1]

Nsengimana holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in electrical engineering from Brigham young university in USA. Prior to these responsibilities he was assuming the role of the director at the Master card foundation centre for innovative teaching and learning.[2] in his inauguration and swearing ceremony he was tasked to advance the education system by the president of the Republic of Rwanda [3]

Early career

Nsengimana had a long career at Intel, where he was the executive director of global diversity and inclusion[4] where he was responsible for implementing all pathway development initiatives funded through the 300 millions US dollar, Diversity in technology fund that intel established in 2015. From 2008 to 2012, he was based in Johanesbourg, South Africa where he lead a team at intel responsible for government affairs, ICT and broadband policies.[4]
