Jontez Williams is an American college football cornerback for the Iowa State Cyclones.

Early life

[edit]

Williams attended Bradford High School in Starke, Florida. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a three-star recruit and decided to commit to play college football for the Iowa State Cyclones, over the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles.[1][2]

College career

[edit]

Williams was redshirted during his first collegiate season in 2022.[3] As a freshman in 2023, he appeared in all 13 games with two starts for the Cyclones, notching six tackles and three pass deflections.[4][5] In week five of the 2024 season, Williams recorded his first career interception in a win over the Houston Cougars.[6] In week eight, he notched an interception for his fourth straight game, as he helped Iowa State beat the UCF Knights.[7]
