Johnny and the Dicks are a band formed by John Morton soon after the demise of the electric eels.[3][4][5] Although listed as a band, they were just as much performance art, posing with instruments for photographs and never performing songs. They sometimes used a pre-recorded soundtrack by The Styrenes.[6]

Rough Trade released a "recording" of theirs, that was simply a record cover with no vinyl inside.[7][8][9]
