John Allen-Petrie

John Michael Allen-Petrie OBE (born 5 July 1980), is an herald-of-arms at the College of Arms[1] and a member of the British Royal Household.[2]

Life

Born in Canada, Allen-Petrie attended Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf (Montreal), Sciences Po in Paris, then LSE (MSc) and Oriel College, Oxford (MSc).

With the Bank of England as an analyst from 2008 until 2015, Allen-Petrie became Rouge Croix Pursuivant in 2013,[3][4] being promoted Windsor Herald of Arms in Ordinary in 2019.[5]

A Liveryman of the Drapers' Company,[6] he served as a Common Councilman for Billingsgate Ward (2018–22).

Honours

Allen-Petrie was appointed OBE in the 2021 New Year Honours, and a Commander of the Order of St John (CStJ) in 2023.[7] As Windsor Herald, he took part in the Royal Procession at the 2023 Coronation.[8]
