Jason Tarry (born 1967) is a British retail executive, and the chairman-designate of the John Lewis Partnership.[1]
Early life
[edit]He was born in Tonbridge, Kent,[2] and educated nearby at Maidstone Grammar School.[3]
He graduated from Staffordshire University with a bachelor's degree in Business Studies in 1989.[4]
Career
[edit]Tarry joined the graduate trainee programme at grocery chain Tesco in 1990.[1] He ran its UK and Irish business for six years until September 2024, when he will succeed Sharon White as chair of the John Lewis Partnership.[1]
Personal life
[edit]Tarry was married to Cathryn, with whom he has three adult children.[2][5] He now lives in North London with his partner Fenella and a young son.[5]
