James Teeple is an American politician and Member-elect for South Carolina House of Representatives District 116.

In September 2023, Republican incumbent Matt Leber announced his candidacy for South Carolina State Senate District 41.[1] Teeple announced his run for the seat held by the incumbent shortly afterward. He was endorsed by Americans for Prosperity.[2]

Teeple defeated Democratic nominee Charlie Murray, brother of Mayor Chardale Murray, in the general election.[3] [4] [5] [6]
