Ja'Quinden Jackson (born September 12, 2001)[1] is an American football running back for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He previously played for the Texas Longhorns and the Utah Utes.

High school career

Jackson attended Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas. He played quarterback in high school. He committed to the University of Texas at Austin to play college football.[2]

College career

Jackson spent 2020 at Texas but did not play in any games. After the season, he entered the transfer portal and transferred to the University of Utah.[3][4][5] In his first year at Utah, he played in three games as a backup to Cameron Rising, and had six rushes for 30 yards and a touchdown. In 2022, Jackson moved to running back.[6][7] He finished the year with 531 yards on 78 carries with nine touchdowns.[8][9] He took over as the starting running back in 2023.

On December 27, 2023, Jackson announced that he would enter the transfer portal for the second time.[10] On January 5, 2024, he announced that he would be transferring to Arkansas.[11]
