Reception

[edit]

The American critic Thad Komorowski rated the episode one star out of five.[1] Komorowksi wrote that "It's a Dog's Life" was a deeply unfunny and unpleasant story that was painful to watch.[2] The episode was heavily censored to remove many of the scenes of cruelty being inflicted on Ren and Stimpy by Granny.[3]
