The Indonesian VTuber Awards, also referred to as VTuber Awards Indonesia, are annual awards presented to recognize VTuber industry from Indonesia. Winners are determined through public voting.[1] The first ceremony was held on 23 November 2024, hosted on Muse Indonesia's YouTube channel.[2][3]

Background

[edit]

The Indonesian VTuber Awards were established to celebrate the creativity and contributions of virtual YouTubers (VTubers) in Indonesia. The awards aim to provide recognition for outstanding performance and innovation in this rapidly growing industry, with over 1,900 Indonesian VTubers amassing more than 50 million subscribers. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy of Indonesia, Irene Umar [id], delivered a keynote emphasizing VTubers' role in driving creative and digital economies. The awards also aimed to acknowledge the talents, innovation, and community spirit of VTubers while fostering collaboration between creators and fans.[3]

Voting process

[edit]

Nominees were initially shortlisted by a committee of judges before being presented to the public. The final selection was determined through a second phase of online public voting, conducted via the Portal Virtual Creator (PVC).[4]
