History

India Yamaha Motor began operations in 1985 as a joint venture between Yamaha Motor Company and an Indian partner, Escorts. In 2001, Yamaha Motor Company took complete control of its Indian operations, renaming it India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd.
