Ibrahim Makama Misau is a Nigerian politician and businessman and retired as a Superintendent of Police (SP).
History
[edit]Makama served as a United Nations Police monitor in two different missions: the United Nations Civilian Police and the United Nations Police Support Group in Croatia's Eastern Baranja Region.[citation needed] He was later awarded two United Nations Medals.[citation needed]
Makama served as aide-de-camp (ADC) to the Governors of Bauchi State and Kano State.[citation needed] As a General Duty Police Officer, he served as Divisional Crime Officer, Officer in Charge of the Police Management Services Department of Kano State Police Command, and Staff Officer at the same Command.[citation needed] He retired voluntarily from the Police in 2005 after 11 years of service.[citation needed]
Following his retirement, Makama entered politics and was elected as a Member of the House of Representatives representing the Misau/Dambam Federal Constituency of Bauchi State.[1] He served as a Member of the Police Affairs Committee and the National Security Committee from 2007 to 2011.[2] He serves as a director for several companies.[3]
