Chukwudike Damian Akuwudike Chijioke, also known as Iamdikeh, is a Nigerian actor, footballer, content creator, and comedian raised in Ijeshatedo, Surulere, Lagos,[1][2]

Early Life and Background

[edit]

Originally from Ezinni-Thitte, Mbaise, Imo State, Damian was raised in a family of five. After losing his father in 2019, he lived with his mother, Mrs. Eucharia Chinyenenwa Akuwudike, and his younger brother, Chinedu Michael Akuwudike, who had been supporting him.[3] The duo is known for their collaborative skit-making, which has garnered a substantial following online. Damian is also an alumnus of Duntro High School, where he completed his O-levels.[3]

Career

[edit]

Damian’s comedy career began in 2016, when he and a friend started making skits featuring a character named Papa Boyo.[4] Inspired by social media comedians like Josh2funny and Crazeclown, Damian began posting skits on social media.[5]

In 2016, he introduced the character Mrs. Dikeh, and in 2017, he participated in Broda Shaggi’s oyinbosaychallenge; finishing second[5]. Damian’s most notable character, Mama Chinedu, debuted in 2017, alongside his younger brother playing the role of his son Chinedu.[4] Their first video together went viral, leading to widespread recognition of the characters.[6]

In addition to his acting and content creating, he has loved football since a young age and aspires to play professionally.[7] In January 2024, Damian went viral on the internet with a sports content he created where he mimics popular European coaches.[8][7]

Awards and Recognition

[edit]

In 2019, Damian was recognized as The Most Influential Comedian at the Distinguished Prime Gold Awards[9], and in 2022, he was named Content Creator of the Year at the Glosa Awards.[10]
