Iago Stanback (born February 17, 2005) is a Portuguese American college Basketball player for the Missouri State Bears.[1]
High School Career

[edit]Stanback was a varsity starter at Palmetto Ridge High School as a junior, averaging 18.3 points with 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
Portuguese National Team
[edit]During the summer, Stanback had the opportunity to play for the Portuguese National Team in the FIBA U18 European Championships.[2]
Senior year
[edit]Stanback was named Palmetto Ridge High School Player of the Year as a senior in 2022-23 after averaging 20.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.8 blocks per game for a 22-4 record. Stanback lead his team to a district title and 6A state tournament appearance his senior year (2022–23) while earning all-state and all-region honors at the Southwest Florida Sports Awards Show and breaking the county scoring record [3]
National Team
[edit]Stanback was a part of Portugal's 18U European Championship Team in the summer of 2023. Stanback played in every game averaging 11 minutes, 2.1 points.[4] for a 4-3 record. Stanback notably scored 7 points against Switzerland (7/29/23).[5]
College career

[edit]Stanback was named MVP on December 7 with 21 points and December 8th with 35 points.[6]
