Kai Kamal Huening (born August 14, 2002), known professionally as HueningKai (Korean: 휴닝카이), is an American singer based in South Korea. He is a member of the South Korean boy band Tomorrow X Together, which debuted under Big Hit Entertainment in March 2019.
Early life and education
[edit]Kai Kamal Huening was born on August 14, 2002, in Honolulu, Hawaii, US,[1][2] to a South Korean mother and an German-American father born in Brazil.[2] His siblings are model Jung Lea and his younger sister, Huening Bahiyyih from Kep1er.[3]
Career
[edit]2019–present: debut with TXT and solo activities
[edit]On January 16, 2019, Big Hit Entertainment revealed HueningKai as the third member of TXT.[4] On March 4, 2019, he officially debuted as a member of Tomorrow X Together with the release of their first extended play (EP), The Dream Chapter: Star.[5]
In June 2024, HueningKai launched the web series HueningKai Wants to Start a Band on YouTube.[6] In 2024, he contributed the single "Can't Stop", alongside his bandmate Taehyun, to the soundtrack of the original series Brewing Love; the single was released on November 18.[7]
