Howmeh Rural District (Persian: دهستان حومه) is in the Central District of Shahrekord County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Nafech.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Chaleshtar.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 23,397 in 5,833 households.[6] There were 3,888 inhabitants in 1,133 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 5,360 in 1,623 households. The most populous of its five villages was Harchegan, with 1,996 people.[2]
